The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are one of the world’s leading public transport companies in terms of quality of service and punctuality. SBB is the backbone of the Swiss public transport system and has been trans- porting people and freight for more than 100 years. As the mobility indus- try is undergoing profound changes, SBB has de ned a strategy to sha- pe the mobility of the future with the goals of simple, personal and connected.
In this case study, we will take a closer look at one of the initiatives SBB has conducted to ful l this strategy. In the context of the Vision Mobility 2025 + for its Sales Department, external Creativity Teams have generated ideas and concepts for this future vision, which were then presented to a jury and challenged and enriched by an external Challenging Panel.
The Creativity Teams were given a complete green eld approach wi- thout any preliminary constrains. To ensure the quality of the ideas a Challenging Panel was established. Their task was to evaluate, comment, enhance and enrich the proposed concepts with their expertise both in technical and mobility aspects, as well as from an innovation expert perspective. SBB tasked ATIZO 360° to scout and recruit the external Challenging Panel and to conduct two challenging phases.
